Hotel 1001 Malam - Yogyakarta

Clean rooms. Very beautifull little hotel in heart of town. Price is cheap for what you get.

Maybe little rooms. But it didnt bother us.

The staff is extremely helpful with all the questions you ask and they speak fairly good English. There's free coffee and tea available all times. Rooms are basic but clean and the small surroundings are kept well. We had a room with a/c, but it was not needed in July.

Ask around to find the hotel - it is not in the main tourist road yet in a small alley linking it. Old, lumpy pillows in the bed.

Hotel design is unique and home feel. Room is simple, with creative artwork. Bathroom is clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice. Everything is up to our expectation, except the room light is dim. A good place for rest and relax. Will definately stay here again for next visit.

Due to muslim religion and 5 times prays first pray is call off at 4 am in the morning and it wakes up everyone!!!!!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The Javanese style design was very pleasing. The location in the city was excellent.

1) The room didn't provide tooth brush and shaving kit. 2) No TV 3) The wall wasn't adequately soundproof. 4) The breakfast though was tasty, but the choices and quantity weren't good enough to justify the price. 5) The hotel staff strongly discouraged me to use credit card to pay for the hotel fee. This created quite a bit of inconvenience to me.

A perfect boutique hotel, in the heart of Yogjakarta, with traditional design and inner garden, away from the noise and yet in the middle of the city centre. Price-quality is perfect, extremely friendly staff, great trips with private chauffeur...In short, for us 4 friends, a great 4-days stay at 1001 Malam Hotel.

Everything about this place was fantastic. It was in a great location, the rooms were big and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

My friends and I stayed at Hotel 1001 Malam for 4 nights. The staff were polite, helpful and extended such warmth to us, we felt at home straightaway. The size of the hotel gives it a personal touch. It is very well maintained and clean. It has a courtyard comprising of tropical plants and a fish pond. Though a stone's throw away from the main shopping area, it is so quiet and relaxing once you enter the hotel. After each busy day of sightseeing, it's like coming home each night we return to the hotel. Breakfast is great! The driver they recommended to us, was a gem. Hotel 1001 Malam really made a great difference to our trip. A big thank you to the people who make the hotel such a special place.

Room was not cleaned on my second day!

The hotel is very cozy and well situated in the town center. Room is fine decorated. Several Restaurants just across the street. The staff is helpful and pleasant. I did like staying there.

Stairs to 2nd floor are quite steep. Not easy for tired persons. Some convenience improvements are desired, like: Lights by the mirror are behind the head, cannot really see face while shaving. No soap tray in shower. Only one el-outlet by bed and it is used for the lamp. So either light or cellphone charging. No night tables by bed. So, eyeglasses and books have to be on the floor. Otherwise, very acceptable
